From the President

It is our great pleasure to start a new international journal, “International Journal of Food Engineering Research” (IJFER) published by Istanbul Aydın University.  IJFER is an international periodical published four times a year focusing on new developments in food science&technology and aimed to be indexed by the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TUBITAK), Engineering Index (EI) and  Science Citation Index (SCI) in a short period of time.  Our strategy is to demonstrate new trends in  food science and technology subject to high quality standards by ensuring a stringent peer review process.

The scope of IJFER is to broadcast high quality original studies and reviews concerning a broad and comprehensive view of fundamental and applied research in food science&technology and their related subjects.

I hope that this journal will encourage Turkish and International scientists to produce new ideas and approaches which shall help the improvement of science and technology for the benefit all humankind. I sincerely wish to thank the editor in chief, members of the editorial board, and authors of the first issue who have generously contributed their time and knowledge to the work and the mission of the journal. Thanks to you, IJFER can be proud of its accomplishments and can continue its humanitarian work and researchers awareness objective.
